3rd Annual State of Michigan Chefs Challenge for Challenge Mountain
April 23-25, 2010 ~ Boyne Mountain, Boyne Falls, MI

Chefs Challenge food competitions are designed to showcase MI food and drink products and their creative applications in a meal.   It is an opportunity for MI establishments to showcase their talents, gain exposure for their establishment, while raising funds for Challenge Mountain.

The weekend will include a number of seminars for the public, vendor displays, and the two Chef competitions. Judges include Chef Michelle Bommarito, Chef Hermann, Barb Tholin, Ruth Mossok Johnston and Rob Haney.

Culinary Competition Judge Well known Chef and TV Cooking personality in northern Michigan	Barb Tholin is editor and co-publisher of Edible Grande Traverse, an award-winning magazine that celebrates the seasonal and regional foods of northwestern Lower Michigan. With a degree in agronomy and over twenty years of sourcing and selling in the grocery and produce business, she enjoys sharing her passion for the agricultural and culinary production of Michigan's great goods and drink.
Ruth Mossok Johnston Author and Food Journalist	City and Guilds Master Craftsman Angus Campbell was born and raised on Scotland’s Isle of Lewis. His culinary career included several upscale hotels and clubs throughout Scotland while working on his culinary degree from Moray College in Elgin and his teaching degree from Jordan Hill College of Education in Glasgow, leading to his first teaching position as a Senior Lecturer at the Glasgow College of Food Technology.  Next he went to the Bahamas as Department Chair in the culinary department of the Bahamas Hotel Training College.  Today he teaches at Grand Rapids Community College (GRCC) where has been a Professor for 18 years.  He has coached numerous student culinary competition teams both nationally and internationally.
